To protect Los Angeles County’s asthma patients from toxic wildfire smoke in January 2025, Breathium and health partners activated the Smoke Danger Alert phone-text. The multilingual alerts provided real-time smoke and ash safety tips. 92% of recipients said the texts helped them stay safe. This session will explore the Alert’s impact, patient actions, and the role of digital tools in protecting vulnerable communities during climate disasters.
