Occupational health is a critical field that addresses the challenges faced by workers across various sectors worldwide. As globalization and technology accelerates and work environments evolve, the complexities of occupational health issues has become critical and magnified. This panel will discuss the key challenges confronting occupational health, including the impacts of emerging technologies, economic disparities, and cultural variations in health practices that impact the informal sector workers, migrant workers (legal and non-legal), gig economy workers, precarious workers, and vulnerable populations like refugees. Additionally, we explore innovative solutions that have emerged in response to these challenges, such as advancements in telemedicine, the implementation of occupationnal management systems, and the role of policy changes in enhancing worker protection in the different part of the world. By examining the interplay between traditional practices and innovative approaches, this discourse highlights the necessity for a global framework that promotes health equity and sustainable work environments for worker wellbeing.
