212 - ABPM Certification: Updates on Initial Certification and the Continuing Certification Program

Attend this session to learn about getting and staying certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). In January 2025, the ABPM launched the second phase of its new Continuing Certification Program which includes longitudinal assessment. This is a flexible, relevant alternative to the former, traditional MOC exam.ABPM staff will provide an overview of the new Continuing Certification Program in addition to outlining what physicians need to know to become certified for the first time.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the overall elements of the new Continuing Certification Program (CCP).
  • Demonstrate understanding of the new Longitudinal Assessment Program.
  • Outline the requirements for initial certification in Occupational and Environmental Medicine through the ABPM.
