The value of Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (JEDI) has been recognized by organizations including ACOEM. Gaining an understanding of the role of JEDI at ACOEM and in OEM practice is important for success. During this session there will be a discussion of the historical roots of JEDI in OEH as well as medical-legal implications of JEDI in Occupational Medicine practice. An overview of the process to create the WOEMA JEDI Committee with a review of actual case examples of the impact of JEDI on population health will be discussed.

  • Discuss the historical roots of JEDI in Ocuppational and Environmental Health.
  • Identify medical-legal implications of JEDI in Occupational Medicine practice.
  • Discuss the importance of JEDI through a discussion on actual case examples of the impact on population health.
