Dr. Maria Starchook-Moore, originally from Moldova, has made Minnesota her home for over 15 years. She completed a four-year General Surgery residency at Hennepin County Medical Center and graduated from the HealthPartners Occupational Medicine residency program in 2020.
Dr. Starchook-Moore served as an Occupational Medicine Physician at Minnesota Occupational Health/Summit Orthopedics 2020-2024, where she balanced her clinical practice with leadership roles as the Medical Director for both American Preclinical Services (APS) and Boston Scientific Arden Hills.
With a special interest in Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals, she recently published an article in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine (AJIM) that reviewed the quality of DOT physicals performed nationwide. She is also passionate about supporting public safety professionals and actively contributes to the field as Vice Chair of the ACOEM Private Practice Section. In 2024, she was honored with the ACOEM Fellowship and currently chairs the Minnesota Medical Association’s (MMA) Public Health Committee.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Starchook-Moore is pursuing an additional degree in Functional, Integrative, and Anti-Aging Medicine, reflecting her commitment to helping people live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, strength training, and spending quality time with her husband, children, and their beloved pets.
