Dave DeJoy is professor emeritus in the College of Public Health at the University of Georgia and co-founder of the Workplace Health Group. He has over forty years of experience in workplace safety and health as a researcher, instructor, and consultant. His areas of research include: safety climate/culture, healthy work organization, risk communication, self-protective behavior, and theory-based intervention design/intervention effectiveness. He has published approximately 200 research papers and received a number of research awards at the national/international level levels. He has been a member of numerous expert and advisory panels, working groups, and review committees at the national and international levels. His research has been funded by NIH, NIOSH, CDC, and FEMA
