Ronda B. McCarthy, MD, MPH, FACOEM, FACPM is Concentra™'s National Senior Director of Medical Surveillance Services. She leads a panel of Concentra medical experts in providing guidance to clinicians and employers on standards and laws related to hazardous chemicals and physical exposures, such as crystalline silica, heat, and noise. Dr. McCarthy completed her Occupational Medine residency at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American College of Preventive Medicine.Dr. Ronda McCarthy led the implementation of Concentra's national silica medical screening program and has worked directly with employers providing OSHA compliant silica medical surveillance programs following promulgation of the 2018 Silica Standard. This experience led to her contribution to Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report's 'Severe Silicosis in Engineered Stone Fabrication Workers California in Colorado, Texas, and Washington, 2017 through 2019' and to 'An outbreak of work related asthma and silicosis at a US countertop manufacturing and fabrication facility' in 2021.
