Richard J. Heron, MB, ChB, FRCP, FRCPI, FFOM, FACOEM

Visiting Professor of Work Health and Organisation
University of Surrey

Richard Heron is visiting Professor of Work Health and Organizations, University of Surrey, UK and on Faculty at GWU, Washington, DC. He is an Expert Advisor on Work and Health to the World Economic Forum and also co-chairs IOMSC, an association of 50 National OH Societies including ACOEM. He is past president of the UK Society of Occupational Medcine and the UK Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

Prior to 2022, Richard was Global VP Health for energy company bp. He has held previous leadership roles in HSE, and risk management with AstraZeneca.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London and Edinburgh), FRCP (Ireland) and American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.
