Dr Licia Tan Mei Ling is an Associate Consultant in the Department of Occupational Medicine at Sengkang General Hospital. Before embarking on her pursuits in Occupational Medicine, she held the title of Head of Department, Clinical Governance at the hospital. In that role, she worked closely with hospital leadership to embark on building a new hospital. Her experience has been synergistic in the development of her professional career in Occupational Medicine. With a deep understanding of the beginnings and workings of the hospital, she has been able to spearhead effective workplace prevention and promotion programmes. She has also shared her Occupational Medicine experiences through teaching in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health undergraduate programme with a vision to develop the younger generation. Her research focus is in workplace health promotion programmes and workplace mental health and well-being. Prior to residency, she worked in clinical and administrative roles in tertiary hospitals. She held the title of Head of Department, Clinical Governance at Sengkang General Hospital before embarking on residency. She has worked closely with hospital leadership and has experience She obtained her Master of Public Health from the National University of Singapore. Her research interests are in occupational health and safety, workplace ergonomics and preventive medicine
