Dr. Kenny is a Full Professor of Physiology at the University of Ottawa and holds an Industry Research Chair. He is Director of the Human and Environmental Physiology Research Unit where his team continues to lead the charge in conducting innovative and cutting-edge research on the assessment of the environmental and human factors affecting a persons ability to live and work in the heat overviewed in over 500 peer-reviewed papers. The high-resolution physiological data generated from his work has defined new approaches in the management and monitoring of heat stress, with the knowledge transformed into policy measures to guide decision-makers in protecting the public and workers.
