Kota Fukai is an Associate Professor at the Department of Preventive Medicine, Tokai University School of Medicine. He graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan, in 2009, and completed his PhD at Keio University School of Medicine in 2017. He trained as a specialist in occupational medicine at the University of Occupational and Environmental Health and later served as a corporate occupational physician at HOYA Corporation. In 2019, he joined Tokai University as a Lecturer and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2024. Dr. Fukai holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Occupational Health Consultant, Diplomate in Occupational Medicine, Japan Medical Association Certified Occupational Physician, Board-Certified and Supervising Specialist in Social Medicine, Supervising Specialist in Occupational Medicine (Japan Society for Occupational Health), Public Health Specialist (Japan Public Health Association), and Senior Epidemiology Specialist (Japan Epidemiological Association). He is also a certified Case Method Instructor at Keio University Business School. His research focuses on occupational health, epidemiology, and workplace health management, with a particular interest in disease prevention, health screenings, and improving workplace health policies. Through his expertise, he contributes to advancing occupational medicine practices and public health strategies.
