Dr Benjamin Zhi Qiang Seah, MBBS, DAvMed (UK), MPH (Occ Health), Republic of Singapore Air Force Medical Service
MAJ(DR) Benjamin Seah graduated from the National University of Singapore’s (NUS’s) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2014. He obtained his Diploma in Aviation Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians in 2020, and Master of Public Health (Occupational Health) from the NUS’s Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health in 2024. He completed his Aviation Medicine training in 2022 and is pursuing specialist accreditation in Occupational Medicine.
MAJ(DR) Seah has been serving in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Medical Service since 2016, having assumed both staff and line officer roles throughout his military career. He has been involved in (1) policy formulation, planning, management and conduct of Aviation Physiology Training, (2) operational running of the RSAF’s Search and Rescue squadron responsible for the execution of heli-medevac missions, (3) development and provision of operational medical support for the RSAF’s wide spectrum of operations, and (4) coordinating and ensuring round-the-clock delivery of high-quality primary healthcare and emergency medical services for all RSAF airmen and women. MAJ(DR) Seah is currently Head, Performance Maximisation Branch at the RSAF’s Aeromedical Centre where he drives a diverse portfolio of human performance maximisation initiatives aimed at pushing the limits of physical, physiological and cognitive performance.
