I am Janvier Gasana, MD, MPH, PhD, Professor of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) and Founder/ President of GAPCI (Global Applied Prevention Center Inc.) (https://gapci.org/) in Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA.
I was trained as a physician at the University of Rwanda along with additional training (Ph.D. and MPH) from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in environmental and occupational health (EOH)/medicine under the now retired OEM doctor, Dr Daniel Hryhorczuk who was also affiliated with both Cook County Hospital and UIC OEM programs.
I founded EOH departments at both Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, FL and Kuwait University in Kuwait and I also designed the Qatar’s OEM program using Training of Trainers (ToT).
I am also online professor/EOH course director for Medical College of Wisconsin and current Medichem EDT (Education Development Training) Chair.
