ACOEM's TED series has become an outstanding success. The ACOEM Teaching Academy is pleased to sponsor a ninth TED session, featuring exciting brief presentations by outstanding speakers on cutting-edge OEM topics. Each TED 9 speaker will present an area of passionate personal interest that illustrates OEM's contributions to employers, workers, and communities. We feel these individuals will be OEM's ambassadors in the future. TED 9 speakers will demonstrate their mastery of communication effectiveness, having been supported by Teaching Academy coaches to advance from 'good' to 'great' to 'outstanding' presentations. This is not just about OEM data, this is about those things in our field that inspire the heart of OEM physicians to love the field of OEM and to champion workplace and environmental health. We are requesting a 1-hour time slot.
Learning Objectives:
Explain how to create memorable, effective, brief presentations in which speakers match their own passions to the needs and interests of an audience.
Demonstrate how simple, powerful ideas and effective techniques can quickly convey OEM's unique benefits to workers, employers and communities.
Identify how effective communication from emerging OEM leaders TED can be successful.
