This session will expand upon the topics from Part one with more conditions and resources reviewed. It will include case studies with a discussion of use of available resources. and will also allow for an extended 'Ask the Experts'Description of Part 1This session will provide an update on new and complex issues in commercial driver This session will provide an update on new and complex issues in commercial driver medical certification. A primary focus will be on the 2024 Medical Examiner Hanbook key changes from the prior version. It will address how the available guidance may (or may not) assist the medical exmainer in making a certification determination. FMCSA resources which are not included in the ME Handbook but availalbe to the ME will be discussed. Other topics will include areas of common areas of confusion for MEs such as use of Determination Pending and the alternative standards (insulin and vision) will be discussed. An update with reminder from FMCSA will also be presented.
